Once people decide paint protection film is worth it, the next question comes fast: how much of the car do I actually need to cover? The honest answer depends on how you drive, what you drive, and how long you plan to keep it. Not every vehicle needs full-body film, and we will not try to sell you more than you need.
Here is how our five PPF packages compare, what each one protects, and how to pick the right one for driving around Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley.
For most drivers, a Full Front End is the right starting point. It covers the hood, front bumper, fenders, and mirror caps, where highway debris hits hardest. Choose Front Bumper or Half Clip for a tighter budget, Track Pack for heavy highway miles, and Whole Vehicle if you want every painted panel protected.
Every package uses the same premium film: precision-cut Avery Dennison or Geo Shield, with a self-healing top coat and a manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years. What changes between packages is where the film goes. Rock chips do not land evenly. They hit the leading edges of the vehicle first, then work their way back along the sides. Coverage is about matching the film to where your car actually takes damage.
All prices below are starting prices, shown as Standard film and Ceramic Shield film. Your exact quote depends on the vehicle's size and condition.
Mostly in-town driving. If your miles are short trips around Eau Claire, Altoona, or Lake Hallie, the front bumper takes most of the hits. Front Bumper or Half Clip covers that zone without paying for panels that rarely see a chip.
Regular highway commuting. Drive I-94 or US-53 often, and the hood and fenders start collecting chips too. This is why most of our Eau Claire clients start with a Full Front End. It protects the whole face of the vehicle with no partial line across the hood.
Heavy highway miles or a performance car. At highway speed, debris thrown by your own front tires hits the rocker panels and lower doors. The Track Pack adds those, plus the A-pillars up the windshield.
New, exotic, or keep-forever vehicles. If you want every panel protected from chips, door dings, and road grime, Whole Vehicle is the complete answer.
Every package comes in two versions. Standard is our premium self-healing film. Ceramic Shield is the upgraded film option, priced a step higher. We will walk you through the difference at your consultation. Either way, PPF and ceramic coating work well together: the film absorbs impacts, and a coating on top keeps it glossy and easy to clean. If you are weighing the two products against each other, read our comparison of ceramic coating vs. PPF vs. wax.
Some of the most annoying damage is not on the front of the car. Fingernail scratches inside door handles and chips on door edges add up fast. You can add these to any package, or to a vehicle that already has film:
Chippewa Valley winters put sand, gravel, and salt on the road for months. Every truck you follow is throwing it back at your hood. A chip that breaks through the clear coat lets salt and moisture reach the paint underneath. Film takes those hits instead, and the self-healing top coat lets light swirls disappear with heat from the sun or a warm rinse. For more on salt, see how road salt damages car paint.
Financing is available through Wisetack on any appointment over $750, so every PPF package qualifies. Checking your options is a soft credit pull. See how financing works.
The easiest way to choose is to show us the vehicle and tell us how you drive. Bring it to 136 Race Street in Eau Claire, or call (715) 864-4827.
